UPDATE: School Delays & Cancellations April 18
UPDATE 11:00 AM- Lockhart ISD is having a three (3) hour early release today.
Bus transportation will run three (3) hours early as well.
UPDATE 8:56 AM – Due to forecast of continued rain and flash flood warnings, The Master’s School has cancelled classes for today, Monday 18th.
UPDATE 8:27 AM: SCHOOL CLOSURE: Santa Cruz Catholic School in Buda has cancelled classes for the day.
San Marcos Independent School District reports:
“San Marcos CISD has not cancelled classes on Monday, April 18, nor was there a delay. Administrators were in contact with City and County officials throughout the night, and followed their recommendations. We only send out district wide communication if there is a change in the normal schedule.”
UPDATE: Wimberley ISD Schools Now Closed All Day Monday, April 18 7:18:00 AM
Due to heavy rains and flooding in parts of our district, Hays CISD will close the entire day on Monday, April 18, 2016.
This means:
• All schools are closed
• All student activities are cancelled
Dripping Springs ISD has announced a two-hour delayed start for all its campuses Monday, April 18 due to the possibility of road flooding in the area.
This means that school start times are exactly 2 hours later than normal. Buses will run exactly 2 hours later.
Wimberley ISD has issued a delayed start notice for all schools tomorrow morning due to the concern of water over the roadway. Classes will begin at 10am.
April 17, 2016 10:13:00 PM Hays CISD – Due to the possibility of flooding in the morning, Hays CISD will operate on a 2-hour delayed schedule on Monday, April 18, 2016.
This means:
- School start times are exactly two hours later than normal
- Buses will run exactly two hours later
- All morning activities are cancelled
- All of pre-K (both am and pm sessions) are cancelled
- All half-day special education classes are cancelled Please be safe and stay dry! Do not attempt to drive through roadways that have water covering the surface.
