Buda Realtor Returns To Hays County Jail Briefly

Jason Tarr, a well-known Buda realtor, spent the night in jail last week after breaking the terms of his original release in 2014.

It has been several months since Tarr’s last appearance in criminal court. In 2014, he was arrested for a fifth DWI and was charged in 2015 with murder for the death of 60-year-old Nancy Sterling-Dalton.

Last week, Tarr was seen driving his girlfriend’s car and was arrested for violating the terms of his original bond.

According to the San Marcos Daily Record, Tarr is required to drive a vehicle with an ignition interlock system; other terms of Tarr’s release included enrollment in alcohol counseling, alcohol and substance abuse evaluation, random drug and alcohol testing and a portable alcohol monitor.

Originally set for $75,000, the Buda realtor’s bond amount doubled last Thursday, April 13 after this latest incident.

According to the Record, there are several videos on Facebook documenting Tarr being released from Hays County Jail on April 14.

On May 1st, Tarr will return to court for his first trial.
