I-35 CORRIDOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
SATURDAY 11/10 – 11/16
I-35 CORRIDOR MAINTENANCE CLOSURES
PROJECT OVERVIEW | These lane closures are associated with on going maintenance activities throughout the corridor.

• SAN MARCOS •
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed between Wonder World Dr. and Hackberry St. | 9 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, November 14 through Thursday, November 15

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

- Northbound I-35 frontage road closed between Boggy Creek Dr. to William Cannon Dr. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, November 11 through Friday, November 16
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Chaparral Rd. and Corral Ln. | 9 AM until 3 PM Wednesday, November 14 through Thursday, November 15

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

- Eastbound Oltorf St. right lane closed at I-35. The right turn lane will also be closed. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, November 11 through Monday, November 12
- Alternating Oltorf St. closures in both directions at I-35. | 8 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, November 14 through Thursday, November 15
- Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between SH 71 and Woodward St. | 9 PM until 3 PM Monday, November 12 through Friday, November 16
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed at Oltorf St. Exit #232 will also be closed. | 9 PM until 5 AM Thursday, November 15 through Friday, November 16

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

- Powell Ln. closed at southbound I-35. Use Wonsley Dr. | Through winter 2018
- Clock Tower Dr. closed at northbound US 183. | Through winter 2018
- Carver Ave. closed at southbound US 183. | Through winter 2018
- I-35 rolling closures in both directions between Blackson Ave. and US 183. Exit #240 will also be closed. | Intermittently from 6:30 AM until 10 AM Sunday, November 11
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Delmar Ave. and St. Johns. | 9 AM until 3 PM Saturday, November 10
- No access to and from Hermitage Dr. Use other side streets. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, November 11 through Friday, November 16

I-35 AT FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge. | Until summer 2018, weather permitting.

Closures are weather permitting
- Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane at FM 3406. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, November 12 through Tuesday, November 13
- Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane at FM 3406. | 8 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, November 14 through Thursday, November 15
- Various FM 3406 closures in both directions between I-35 and Chisholm Trail Dr. | 8 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, November 14 through Thursday, November 15

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT ACTIVITY | New braided ramps (where one ramp crosses over the other) are being constructed along the northbound I-35 mainlanes between Hesters Crossing and RM 620 to eliminate merging conflicts.
The northbound and southbound intersections of US 79 and the I-35 frontage roads are also being reconstructed to add a third left-turn for westbound US 79.

- Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane between US 79 and RM 620. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, November 11 through Monday, November 12
