DPS Offering Reward For Most Wanted Sex Offender From Waco

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Monroe Hernandez, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Details and a cash reward up to $3,000 is now being offered for information leading to his capture. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

Hernandez should be considered ARMED and DANGEROUS!

All tips are anonymous – regardless of how they are submitted – and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.

Monroe Hernandez is a convicted sex offender with ties to Waco, Texas. In 1993, Hernandez was convicted of Sexual Assault in McLennan County for an incident involving a 21-year-old woman. He subsequently was sentenced to 6 years in TDCJ prison.

In 2001, Hernandez was convicted of Driving While Intoxicated – 3rd or More in McLennan County and received a 17-year sentence in TDCJ prison.

Monroe Hernandez – DOB – 11/4/1966

He was paroled in March 2014 and on September 10, 2014, a Parole Violation warrant for Hernandez’ s arrest was issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.

On April 11, 2016, the Waco Police Department issued an additional warrant for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements. Hernandez may be living under an alias name.

Hernandez has been know to the following alias’

  • Juan Antonio Gonzales
  • Juan Antonio Gonzalez
  • Arthur Moreno Hernandez
  • Moreno Hernandez
  • Morora Hernandez

Hernandez has tattoo’s on his chest, left hand, and both legs, with scars on his left leg and right arm.

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.

Last year, Texas Crime Stoppers paid $31,500 in total rewards for anonymous tips that resulted in arrests.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters MUST provide information to authorities using one of the three following methods:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Submit a tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

All tips are anonymous – regardless of how they are submitted – and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.

DPS investigators work with local law enforcement agencies to select fugitives for the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and Sex Offender lists. You can find the current lists – with photos – on the DPS website.

Do not attempt to apprehend this fugitive; he is considered armed and dangerous.
