Texas Summer Heat Is Here; Buda Issues Heat Advisory

With the first day of summer come and gone, June 20, the typical Texas summer heat is making it’s appearance.

A heat advisory is in effect for much of South Central Texas from 1:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. today (June, 23). We’re expecting near record highs today.

Heat index values of 106 to 114 are expected across most of South Central Texas. A slightly less humid airmass over Hill Country will keep Heat Index Values in the 100 to 105 range.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.
