FOUND: Harper Garlitos, missing Texas State student

SAN MARCOS – Harper Garlitos, a 21-year-old sophomore at Texas State University and resident of San Marcos, was found after being missing for two weeks.
According to a Facebook post by Garlitos mother, Ginger Sandlin, her son was found on Tuesday, May 25, and has died by suicide.
The Aware Foundation, a nonprofit committed to advocacy for the missing and endangered, posted on the “Harper Garlitos Missing Person” Facebook Page that Garlitos was living with Aspergers and struggled both mentally and socially with the condition.
“There are so many things we as a society need to get better, to do better,” said Sadlin. “Acceptance of those who are different, mental health awareness, seeing disabilities for what they truly are, continuing to honor those disabilities and differences as young people move into adulthood.”
The family asks for people to continue their prayers and pray for people struggling with mental illness and Autism.
