Interstate 35 Entrance Ramp To Close Permanently In Kyle

The Texas Department of Transportation will close the southbound entrance ramp to I-35 just south of RM 150/Center Street in Kyle as part of the Mobility35 ramp reversal project currently underway between RM 150 and the Blanco River.

This work will improve safety, traffic flow, and accessibility along the I-35 corridor.

Workers will close the ramp on Friday, Oct. 21, after 9 a.m. Drivers heading southbound on the I-35 frontage road can enter the interstate using the ramp immediately prior to RM 150/Center Street, or proceed down the frontage road to the entrance ramp just past Yarrington Road.

The $9 million ramp reversal project is due to be completed next summer. 

Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the closure.

Motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area during the affected hours. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.
