Hays County Commissioners Court to discuss American Rescue Plan Funding

HAYS COUNTY – On Tuesday, October 19, the Hays County Commissioners Court will meet to discuss the allocation of American Rescue Plan Funds and possible amendments to the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, among other items.

County commissioners will receive an update on the October 2021 Hill Country Mental Health Development Disabilities Board Meeting.

Commissioners will also discuss possible actions to consider distributing the American Rescue Plan funds administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Possible action to amend program guidelines related to the Emergency Rental Assistance Program will also be considered by commissioners.

In Executive Session, the court will consult with council and discuss the “purchase, exchange, lease or value” of property located on Stagecoach Trail in San Marcos.

After receiving an update on the Hays County Inmate Population, commissioners will discuss issues related to the Hays County Jail and plan projects about public safety facility needs within the county.
