Hays County, Local Governments Release Reminder Of Easter Holiday Schedules

According to History.com, Easter is a Christian holiday that celebrates the belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ; in the New Testament of the Bible, the event is said to have occurred three days after Jesus was crucified by the Romans and died in roughly 30 A.D.

Hays County

Hays County offices will be closed Friday, April 19, for Good Friday, and will reopen at their regular times on Monday, April 23.

On April 19, the Hays County Judge’s Office is sponsoring an Easter Egg hunt on the Courthouse grounds at 111 E. San Antonio St., San Marcos. The public is cordially invited to attend.

San Marcos

The San Marcos Municipal Court will be closed Friday, April 19, for Good Friday, and will reopen at its regular time on Monday, April 23. All other city offices and facilities will operate as usual.

Buda

All city offices, including the Buda Public Library, are closed on Friday, April 19, in observance of Good Friday.
