Hays County reports one COVID-related fatality, a Kyle woman in her 50s

Hays County Courthouse, TX – Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports one (1) COVID-related fatality, a Kyle woman in her 50s. The Department also reports 82 new lab-confirmed cases along with seven (7) new hospitalizations and six (6) new hospital discharges. There are 115 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 17,636.
Please note: today’s report covers May 1-3.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 18,436. Hays County has 560 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 839 active cases. Hays County has had 853 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 14 people are currently hospitalized.
