HCSO Report: Camino Real Elementary School Burglary Suspects Identified

Camino Real Elementary School Burglary Suspects Identified – Three juveniles and 1 adult.

On August 14, 2017, Hays County Sheriff’s Office turned to our community to ask for help in identifying three subjects who had burglarized Camino Real Elementary School located at 170 Las Brisas Blvd, Kyle, Texas.

The school was burglarized by three subjects caught on video tape on three different occasions during the month of August.  The property removed from the campus included computers, IPad’s and projectors estimated at a loss of approximately $12,000.

Due to the high amount of exposure through our media partners, social media and community stakeholders including Hays County Crime Stoppers, we received information that resulted in the identification and apprehension of the three suspects.

On August 22, 2017, a search warrant was executed that resulted in a 100% recovery of the items stolen from the school.  Subsequent to the search warrant, three juvenile suspects were detained including a 14-year-old female and two 15-year-old males.  An adult female:

Mary Helen Alfaro, White/Female, Date of Birth:  08-28-1986

was also arrested subsequent to the investigation for:

Theft, Class B Misdemeanor

It is evident that the Hays County Community is committed to assisting law enforcement by the abundance of information that was received.  The dedication of our citizens allowed for the recovery of the equipment necessary for our school children’s upcoming school year.  Together we can make a difference.
