I-35 LANE CLOSURES
MONDAY 5/14 – FRIDAY 5/18
I-35 TO FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

- I-35 reduced to one lane in both directions at Oltorf St. | From 10 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, May 16 through Thursday, May 17
- Oltorf St. closed across I-35. | From 9 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, May 16 through Thursday, May 17

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Huntland Dr. and US 290 E. | From 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, May 13 through Thursday, May 18
- Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Blackson Ave. and St. Johns Ave. | From 9 PM until 9 AM Sunday, May 13 through Thursday, July 5

I–35 FROM STASSNEY LN. TO WILLIAM CANNON DR.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

- I-35 reduced to one lane in both directions at William Cannon Dr. | From 11 PM until 5 AM Thursday, May 17 through Friday, May 18
- William Cannon Dr. closed across I-35. | From 10 PM until 9 AM Friday, May 11 through Saturday, May 12
- Eastbound William Cannon Dr. right lane closed at I-35. | From 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, May 14 through Friday, May 18
- William Cannon Dr. closed at I-35. | From 8 PM until 5 AM Thursday, May 17 until Friday, May 18
- Southbound I-35 ramp to US 290/SH 71 closed. | From 9 PM until 5 AM Tuesday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 16
- Northbound I-35 closed at the eastbound flyover at US 290/SH 71. | From 9 PM until 5 AM Tuesday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 16

I–35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT OVERVIEW | New braided ramps (where one ramp crosses over the other) are being constructed along the northbound I-35 mainlanes between Hester’s Crossing and RM 620 to eliminate merging conflicts.
The northbound and southbound intersections of US 79 and the I-35 frontage roads are also being reconstructed to add a third left-turn for westbound US 79.
