everything they can to minimize disruptions.
I-35 CORRIDOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
SUNDAY 7/8 – SATURDAY 7/14
I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

- Northbound I-35 right lane closed between Slaughter Ln. and Boggy Creek. | From 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, July 8 through Tuesday, July 10
- Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane between William Cannon Dr. exit (#228) and William Cannon Dr. | From 10 PM until 6 AM Sunday, July 8 through Monday, July 9
- Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane between Colonial Park Blvd. and the William Cannon Dr. exit (#228). The William Cannon exit will also be closed. | From 10 PM until 6 AM Sunday, July 8 through Wednesday, July 11
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed between William Cannon Dr. exit and Boggy Creek Dr. | From 9 PM until 5 AM Tuesday, July 10 through Wednesday, July 11
- Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Slaughter Ln. and Boggy Creek. | From 9 AM until 3 PM through Friday, July 13
- Eastbound William Cannon Dr. right turn lane closed at I-35. | From 9 AM until 3 PM Saturday, July 7

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

- Southbound I-35 alternating closures at Oltorf St. | From 8 PM until 5 AM Tuesday, July 10 through Wednesday, July 11
- Westbound Oltorf St. right lane closed at I-35. | From 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, July 9 through Tuesday, July 10

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Two ramps on the southbound I-35 frontage roads between RM 1431 and FM 3406 are being reconstructed and reversed to address traffic congestion and improve I-35 frontage road and mainlane operations.

I–35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT OVERVIEW | New braided ramps (where one ramp crosses over the other) are being constructed along the northbound I-35 mainlanes between Hester’s Crossing and RM 620 to eliminate merging conflicts.
The northbound and southbound intersections of US 79 and the I-35 frontage roads are also being reconstructed to add a third left-turn for westbound US 79.
