San Marcos To Host Seton Hall University Fire Survivors
Simons and Llanos were college roommates who survived a devastating arson fire while living in a residence hall at Seton Hall University in January 2000.
The City of San Marcos’s Fire Marshal is sponsoring motivational and fire safety speakers Shawn Simons and Alvaro Llanos, Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins.
Simons and Llanos were college roommates who survived a devastating arson fire while living in a residence hall at Seton Hall University in January 2000.
They travel throughout the nation to share their message of survival, perseverance and inspiration. See their story at: www.alvaroandshawn.com.
The City is sponsoring two sessions:
- Session 1: 10 – 11:30 a.m.
- Session 2: 2– 3:30 p.m.
