Gary Job Corps Alumni Kyle Police Officer Dago Pates Receives Award From Community Relations Council

Kyle Police Officer Dago Pates is being presented with a Law Enforcement Appreciation Award from the Gary Community Relations Council for his service to the community and his work with youth at risk.

Dago is an Alumni of the Gary Job Corps Corrections/Security Vocation graduating in 2005. He is currently with the Kyle Police Department as the Juvenile Officer, Background Investigator, and Patrolman Office where he has been since 2009, after graduation Pates worked at the Travis State Jail, Hays County as Jailer and then Deputy.

Dago was selected as a Job Corps Star in 2014 to represent the Texas Job Corps Centers along with Dr. Mary Ann Gamble, Austin Regional Clinic in Kyle, the meeting was celebrating the 50 year anniversary of Job Corps held in Washington DC.

Officer Pates has been active with the Gary Job Corps Center as a Mentor, Lecturer, Trainer and additionally works with the at-risk youth in the community.
