Locally owned mattress company opens in San Marcos, wants to compete against national chains to win your business, bringing 89 years of continuous operation.

New Braunfels Mattress Company recently opened for business and will host a San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at 11:00am on Thursday, May 25th at 1218 Highway 123. The mattress store location can be found across from Bonham Pre-K.

New Braunfels Mattress Company first opened in New Braunfels, Texas in the 1920s in what was known as Comal Town. The mattress store has continuously operated in New Braunfels since 1928, and in 2018 the company will celebrate 90 years of business.

The San Marcos location will feature popular national name brands like Sealy, Serta, Simmons, Stearns & Foster, Pure Talalay Bliss, Restonic, and Tempur-Pedic. In addition, New Braunfels Mattress Company will offer two of their own lines of mattresses – the Creek and Rio series. Both mattress lines are constructed in Texas factories. Spotlight mattresses include the Creek Classic and the Creek Luxe – full sized mattresses compressed into a 4-foot tall box that can be shipped to a customer’s front door in 48 hours or less.
