‘Meet The Lender’ Business Loan Trade Show, Free Event Hosted By Austin’s Small Business Program
The trade show will provide easy access to dozens of small business lenders in response to the most pressing need of any small business – finding capital.
Austin, TX — The City of Austin’s award-winning Meet the Lender business loan trade show is scheduled for Monday, May 1st as part of the Small Business Festival lineup in Austin.
The trade show will provide easy access to dozens of small business lenders in response to the most pressing need of any small business – finding capital.
The City of Austin Economic Development Department’s Small Business Program, whose mission is to foster the growth of new and existing businesses, will host this free event on May 1st from 3 to 7pm at the Holiday Inn Midtown, 6000 Middle Fiskville Road, Austin, TX 78752.
“Access to capital is the number one need of all small businesses,” says Sylnovia Holt-Rabb, Assistant Director for the City of Austin’s Economic Development Department. “The purpose of Meet the Lender is to connect business owners to lenders and bankers. Business owners will be able to learn about the loan process, what documentation they need, and make personal connections with valuable sources of startup and expansion capital.”
Recognized by Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, Bright Ideas program, Meet the Lender is free and open to all aspiring and existing small-business entrepreneurs and offers an informal environment for attendees to meet business lenders face-to-face as they gather information, learn about the loan process and discuss their business needs.
Representatives from area community lenders, credit unions, and commercial lenders will be on hand.
Meet the Lender will also feature the City of Austin’s own Family Business Loan Program (FBLP) administered by the Small Business Program and designed to offer low-interest loans to qualified, existing small businesses that are ready to expand and create jobs.
