BREAKING: Suspicious Letter At The Hays County Law Enforcement Center

On April 27, 2015 at approximately 10:00 a.m. the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center located at 1307 Uhland Road, San Marcos, Hays County received a suspicious letter containing a powdery substance. The building was immediately placed on restriction. Officials from Hays County Sheriff’s Office, Hays County Office of Emergency Management, Hays County Hazardous Materials Team and the Federal Bureau of Investigations responded to the scene.
 
The building has been cleared and all personnel have returned to normal operations. The Hays County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations will be conducting the investigation. Due to the sensitive nature of the incident, no further information will be released at this time.
 
The case is currently under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this case should contact the Hays County Sheriff’s Office at 512-393-7896 and ask to speak with the Criminal Investigations Division or you may contact the Hays County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS (8477).
