for Week of June 22 – 28
I-35 AT POSEY ROAD
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project will construct a new overpass on I-35 over Posey Road, add two new U-turns in each direction at Posey Road, perform ramp reversals and convert two-way frontage roads to one-way.
Currently, the I-35 mainlanes go under Posey Road. The new configuration will have the I-35 mainlanes going over Posey Road.

- Northbound I-35 exit #199 for Posey Road and exit #200 for Centerpoint Road are closed. The southbound I-35 entrance ramp south of Posey Road is also closed. | Until further notice

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at Stassney Lane. | Monday, June 24 from 9 AM until 3 PM
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily between Little Texas Lane and William Cannon Drive. | Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 from 9 AM until 3 PM
- Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily between William Cannon Drive and Boggy Creek Drive. | Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 from 9 AM until 3 PM

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads.
Additionally, construction of new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

- North and southbound I-35 rolling closures at Rundberg Lane. | Sunday, June 23 from 6 AM to 10 AM
- North and southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly between US 290 East and Hermitage Drive. | Sunday, June 23 through Friday, June 28 from 9 PM until 5 AM
- Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly between Hermitage Drive and Huntland Drive. | Sunday, June 23 through Friday, June 28 from 9 PM until 5 AM

I-35 AT FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge.

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT ACTIVITY | New braided ramps (where one ramp crosses over the other) are being constructed along the northbound I-35 mainlanes between Hesters Crossing and RM 620 to eliminate merging conflicts.

- Northbound I-35 upper deck will be closed nightly between 6th Street and 38th Street. | Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 from 10 PM until 10 AM
- Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily between Gattis School Road and McNeil Road. | Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 from 8 AM until 3 PM
- Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly between Rubio Avenue and RM 620. | Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 from 8 PM until 5 AM
- North and southbound I-35 frontage road closures nightly between Bell County and Travis County. | Sunday, June 23 through Friday, June 28 from 9 PM until 5 AM
- Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane between 6th Street and Airport Boulevard. The upper level will be reduced to one lane. The lower level and entrance ramps will also be closed between 12th Street and 38th Street. | Friday, June 28 from 10 P until 10 AM

I-35 AT COUNTY ROAD 305
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the County Road 305 bridge and realign County Road 304 East to connect to the newly constructed bridge. Pedestrian enhancements will also be made within the project limits.

- Southbound I-35 closures between Hill Road and FM 487. Ramps will also be closed as needed. | Thursday, June 27 from 8 PM until 5 AM

• St. Johns Avenue Bridge Long-Term Closure •
Crews have closed the St. Johns Avenue bridge over the I-35 mainlanes. All traffic on St. Johns Avenue will turn right onto the I-35 frontage roads and utilize the non-signalized U-turns at US 183 or US 290 East to access St. Johns Avenue on the other side of I-35.
Bicyclists and pedestrians will still be able to safely cross I-35 at St. Johns Avenue on a temporary walkway restricted to non-vehicular traffic. The reconstructed bridge is expected to reopen late summer 2019, weather permitting.
