CRITTERMAN: Dave Klevin, aka Critterman, will bring live Animal Ambassadors to the San Marcos Library Friday, June 23.

Dave Kleven, aka Critterman, will bring live Animal Ambassadors to the San Marcos Public Library for three fascinating shows at 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, June 23. Children ages three and up are invited to meet some exotic animals from around the world. Free tickets are available at the library, located at 625 E. Hopkins St.

Founded in 1990 by America’s Teaching Zoo graduates, David & Susan Kleven, Animal Edutainment® Inc., is a private, not-for-profit, and professional, wildlife education outreach organization, which develops and presents totally unique programs for youth.  Dave Kleven has presented over 10,000 educational outreach programs as Critterman.

Animal Edutainment’s animal care facility is home to over 50 non-releasable animals who were orphaned, injured, surplus, or cast-off by previous owners. These animals now act as ambassadors for their species.

Live Animal Ambassadors spark an interest in learning. The Critterman philosophy believes that children have a natural curiosity about other living things which leads to the exploration of science concepts. Every child needs to be provided with the opportunity to experience and learn about wildlife in order to help them develop an understanding of, and a healthy respect for the world around them.
