Support Breast Cancer Awareness At Party On The Patio

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS — Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) will host its annual Party on the Patio event on October 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hays County BBQ, located at 1612 S. IH 35 in San Marcos.

 

The event will honor cancer warriors and survivors and recognize national Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Fifteen percent of food proceeds will benefit CTMC’s Emergency Cancer Fund, which helps local cancer patients in need while they undergo treatment.

 

In addition to complimentary ice cream floats and entertainment by The Georges, the Party on the Patio will feature a 50s costume contest. The winners will receive a gift certificate to Hays County BBQ.

 

Each October, CTMC and community partners raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. This years remaining “pink” events are as follows:

 

100 Free Mammos

Each year, CTMC partners with Community Action to offer 100 free

mammograms to area women who have no means to pay for one.  Call Community Action

at 512.392.1161, ext. 305 to get connected.

 

Extended Mammo Hours

CTMC holds extended hours for mammograms to help busy families.

Appointments are available from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

Tanger Pink Card Savings

Sept. 24 – Oct. 31

Tanger Outlet Centers will sell Pink Cards for $5.  Good for 25% off one item per purchase. Shop with a physical card or use the convenient digital version. Unlimited use through October. Proceeds benefit the CTMC Foundation.

 

Tommy Bahama Shop for a Cause

October 15th Special sale at Tommy Bahama in San Marcos. 10% of purchases made between noon and 6:00 p.m. go to the CTMC Cancer Assistance Fund.

 

San Marcos Academy Events (Both events feature cancer tributes/fundraisers).

  • Varsity Volleyball Game on October 13 at 6 p.m. at Jamail Center gym.
  • Varsity Football Game on October 23 at 7 p.m. at SMA’s Ingram Stadium.

 

Pink Heals 5K

Pink, Praise and Prayer

Every Friday in October at noon in the CTMC Chapel. A 20-minute time to pray for those undergoing treatment and their families.  The community is welcome to attend.
