Texas Grocer Requests COVID-19 Vaccine Allocation

Staff Reports

A Lone Star State’s homegrown grocers may begin providing more COVID-19 Vaccinations soon.

During the first phase of COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout, some H-E-B pharmacies received a limited number of the Modern Vaccine to help vaccinate community healthcare providers.

The company has requested another allocation of vaccines from the State of Texas but is not scheduled to receive them yet.

H-E-B says their first allocation of vaccines have either been administered or are scheduled to be.

According to H-E-B, the Texas-based grocer has launched an appointment portal for Texas to register for vaccinations as their pharmacies are not accepting walk-ins.

According to H-E-B, the next allocation of vaccines will be used to continue to vaccinate healthcare professionals as well as begin Phase 1B vaccinations.

H-E-B’s scheduler tool, here, will be activated to allow eligible Texans to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine once the next allocation is in.
