Update: Hays County Flu Statistics

Since September, over 9,000 Hays County residents have visited a Health Care Provider with Flu-like symptoms and almost 2,500 of those cases had a positive Flu test.

Feb 7-13 2018 – 275 positive Flu cases reported in Hays County. No additional deaths associated with complications of the flu have been reported.

On Feb.13 the Hays County Local Health Department held a Free for Everyone over 4yoa flu shot clinic and vaccinated 107 persons.

Today, Feb. 14, the LHD is holding a Free for Everyone over 4yoa flu shot clinic at St. John’s Catholic Church in San Marcos, from Noon to 5 p.m. No insurance or ID is required.

It is not too late to get your Flu shot if you haven’t received one already.  The Flu shot will protect your body from most of the Flu strains that are currently afflicting our neighbors, but even if you do still get the Flu, the vaccination provides your immune system with a boost to help you recover quicker.
