Gavel Presentation to Judge Cobb

Gary Job Corps Machinist students constructed two gavels from aircraft aluminum utilizing skills taught by Machinist Instructor Saysamone Manyseng (Gary Job Corps Machinist Graduate 1984).

Lonnie Hall, Gary Job Corps Center Director presented the twin gavels to Hays County Judge Bert Cobb stating that “Judge our students constructed these gavels for you as an appreciation for the unending support that you have given to the Center and the students”.

Judge Cobb replied saying “ Lonnie you and your students are such an asset to the county and have been great neighbors in assisting when needed which was the case during the famous Memorial Day Floods and you and the students were the first on the scene helping with the clean-up.  It is I who appreciate you and the [Gary] Job Corps students”.
