Kyle Water Customers Being Asked To Drastically Cut Usage Due To Waterline Repairs Starting Monday

The Kyle Public Works Department is notifying our water customers that beginning Monday, March 11, Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) will be limiting the city’s water supply to emergency needs only for a minimum of 36 hours.

GBRA, which provides a portion of our overall water supply, will be working on a major waterline repair.

The City of Kyle has been asked to stop taking water from GBRA at 6 a.m. on Monday, March 11. During this time, Public Works will be utilizing our groundwater well supply. Kyle staff has made preparations to minimize any impacts to Kyle customers’ water supply.

What can residents do?

Kyle’s water customers are being asked to limit water use and avoid any unnecessary water use, such as irrigation, beginning on March 11.

Please advise Public Works of any known leaks as quickly as possible at 512-262-3024. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Kyle Public Works Department.
