Texas State announces home football games against North Texas and Army 

SAN MARCOS, Texas- Texas State Executive Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Operations Don Coryell announced Monday that the Bobcats have agreed to play a home-and-home football series against North Texas and Army.

The Bobcats will host North Texas on Sept. 26, 2026, in San Marcos and travel to Denton on August 31, 2030. Texas State and North Texas have played 39 games since the series began in 1919, but they haven’t played a football game against each other since 1994.

Texas State and Army will play for the first time on Sept. 1, 2029, in San Marcos. Then, the Bobcats travel to West Point, N.Y.  on Sept. 21, 2030.

Army West Point is the second service academy that Texas State has played on the football field. The Bobcats also had a home-and-home series against Navy. Texas State played at Navy-Marine Corps. Memorial Stadium Nov. 17, 2012, in Annapolis, Md. The Bobcats and Midshipmen played at Bobcat Stadium on Sept. 19, 2015.  

TEXAS STATE OPENS 2021 SEASON AGAINST BAYLOR 

Texas State opens the 2021 season by hosting the Baylor Bears on September 4 at Bobcat Stadium. The game kicks off at 6 p.m.  The Bobcats have five other home games against Incarnate Word on September 18, South Alabama on October 9, Troy on October 16, ULM on November 6, and Georgia Southern on November 13.

Season tickets for Texas State’s six home games are on sale, with prices starting as low as $95 in general admission and $155 in priority seating sections.

Two half-season packages and single-game tickets are also on sale and provide flexibility for fans who cannot attend all six home games.

One half-season package includes Texas State’s season-opening home contest against the Baylor Bears on Sept. 4 and two additional home games for as low as $60 for general admission and $100 for west-side reserved seating.

The second half-season ticket package allows fans the opportunity to pick any three of the remaining five home games. This package starts at $50 for general admission and $80 for west-side reserved seating.

A Bobcat Club donation is required to access priority seats. Each seat donation goes toward Bobcat Club donations for the 2021 year and can lead to membership benefits such as parking and pre-game hospitality to round out your game day experience.
