Central Texas Medical Center To Host National Day Of Prayer Breakfast
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – Since signed into law in 1952, Americans across the country have celebrated the National Day of Prayer, which encourages people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It is observed annually on the first Thursday in May.
This year, Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) will host a National Day of Prayer breakfast on Thursday, May 4 at the San Marcos Activity Center, located at 501 E. Hopkins St. The doors will open at 7:30 a.m., and the program will begin at 8:00 a.m.
“We are blessed to live in a country where we can gather together and pray,” CTMC President and CEO Anthony Stahl said. “The event is true to who we are, as it fits our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.”
In addition to prayers focused on church, family, government, education, military and business, guest speakers at the event will include:

- Bert Cobb, MD, Hays County Judge
- Sue Ann Harrison, MD, Corridor Pediatrics
