TDHCA hosts Texas Eviction Diversion Program overview webinar

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), in partnership with the Office of Court Administration, will host a Texas Eviction Diversion Program (TEDP) webinar on Wednesday, March 10 at 1 p.m., Austin local time. The webinar will provide an overview of the program.

The TEDP set-aside of the Texas Rent Relief Program helps Texas tenants stay in their homes, and provides landlords an alternative to eviction.

The program provides up to 15 months of rental and utility assistance for eligible tenants who are behind on their rent due to the COVID-19 pandemic and have been sued for eviction.

Both the tenant and the landlord must agree to participate.

While others are welcome to attend, this webinar is being hosted specifically to provide legal aid organizations, legal service providers, and other interested parties an overview of the program’s requirements and process. There will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions.

Please register for the TEDP Overview Webinar at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5625676945541571086.

The webinar will be recorded and posted to the TDHCA YouTube page, https://www.youtube.com/user/TDHCATV, for anyone who cannot attend.
