This Weeks Road Construction Projects Affecting San Marcos Traffic March 5 – 11, 2017

Union Pacific Railroad Crossings: Union Pacific Railroad will perform rail maintenance through San Marcos March 6-8. No extended railroad-crossing closures are expected. UPRR will use flaggers to intermittently stop traffic while equipment travels across roadways. UPRR, 214.708.0837.

IH35/RIVER RIDGE: A right lane closure will take place on north bound IH 35 frontage road and River Ridge on March 6 – 8 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m, weather permitting, for utility maintenance work. TxDOT, 512.353.1061 March 6 @ 9 a.m. March 8 @ 5 p.m.
LP 82/AQUARENA SPRINGS: TxDOT will be introducing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Post/Bobcat. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and then detour to the new signal. This will last approximately 45 days starting on February 15. TxDOT, 512.393.8130 Feb. 15 End of April

IH 35/YARRINGTON SOUTH: The inside and outside lane of north bound frontage road south of Yarrington will be intermittently closed for widening the road at the new north bound ramp, #302 on March 6 – 10 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. One lane will remain open for smooth traffic flow. IH 35/YARRINGTON NORTH: The inside lane of north bound frontage road north of Yarrington will be intermittently closed for road maintenance at the new north bound ramp, #206 on March 6 – 10 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. One lane will remain open for smooth traffic flow. LONG TERM CLOSURE – N LBJ:  From Holland St. to Camaro Way will be closed to through traffic until the summer of 2017. Road closure will occur during daytime construction hours. City contractor will be replacing utility lines in the area. Through traffic including Emergency Vehicles, will be routed around the project limits; please follow the detours.
