UPDATED: TxDPS Investigate Fatal Head-On Collision Near Buda

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal head-on collision on Farm to Market Road 967 Monday morning.
A woman was killed after a Freightliner crashed head-on into her Chevy Impala.
According to DPS, the Freightliner was heading east when he reported his tires went off the road; the driver lost control and drove into the oncoming land where he struck 80-year-old Geraldine Wilcox Hylander’s vehicle.
The crash occurred at 10:15 AM approximately five miles west of Buda. The road was reopened after crews cleared the scene.
Officials said troopers are investigating, and no charges have been filed at this time.
