UFCU and Texas State Athletics announce “Score for Scholarships” partnership

SAN MARCOS – LEARFIELD, the media rights holder for Texas State Athletics, announced Wednesday that UFCU has partnered with Texas State Athletics on a scholarship initiative in support of Texas State students, making it one of Texas State Athletics largest corporate partners.
“UFCU Score for Scholarships” is the foundation of the partnership that will provide up to $100,000 in scholarships to Texas State University students this year. Through the “Score for Scholarships” program, UFCU pledges scholarship funds for every touchdown scored in football, three-pointer in men’s and women’s basketball, ace served in volleyball, and home run in baseball and softball.
Fans can follow along throughout the year on the Texas State Athletics website, TXST.com, and the UFCU web page UFCU.org/BobcatsWin.
“Texas State Athletics is proud to have the support of UFCU,” said Don Coryell, Texas State Athletics Director. “Score for Scholarships presented by UFCU will be fun for our fans and student-athletes alike. We encourage Bobcat fans to cheer on our teams with lots of scoring and victories. When we total up all of the touchdowns, aces, three-pointers, and home runs at the end of the season, UFCU will provide scholarships to Texas State University. Thanks to UFCU, when the Bobcats score, everybody wins.”
