While construction is tough on everyone, TxDOT is trying to do
everything they can to minimize disruptions.

PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
• THIS WEEK’S PROJECT TRAFFIC ADVISORY •
Closures are weather permitting
- The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge. | Until summer 2018, weather permitting.
- Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane approaching FM 3406. | 9 PM Monday, April 2 to 5 AM Tuesday, April 3.

PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

Closures are weather permitting
- Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Oltorf St. | Nightly from 8 PM until 5 AM, Monday, April 2 through Friday, April 6.
- Northbound I-35 two left lanes closed at Oltorf St. | Nightly from 10 PM until 5 AM Monday, April 2 through Thursday, April 5.
- I-35 frontage road right lane closed in both directions between Woodward St & Oltorf St. Watch for flaggers. | Daily from 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, April 2 through Friday, April 6.
- Various closures in both directions of the I-35 frontage roads between 4th St. & 8th St. Additionally, the 6th St. underpass will also close. Detour to 4th or 8th St. | Nightly from 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, April 2 through Wednesday, April 4.

PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

Closures are weather permitting
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Park Plaza Dr. & E. Powell Ln. | Until 5 AM Monday, April 30.
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Huntland Dr. & US 290 East. | Until 5 AM Tuesday, July 3.
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed between US 290 East & US 183. The entrance ramp from US 290 East will also close. | 10 PM Monday, April 2 to 5 AM Tuesday, April 3.
- Northbound I-35 exit 240 to US 183 closed. Detour to the frontage road. | 10 PM Monday, April 2 to 5 AM, Tuesday, April 3.
- Southbound I-35 right lane closed between US 183 & US 290 East. Southbound I-35 exit to US 290 East/RM 2222 also closed. | From 10 PM until 5 AM Monday, April 2 & Tuesday, April 3.
- Northbound I-35 mainlanes closed with a rolling roadblock between US 290 East & St. Johns Ave. Full closures will be short. | 11 PM Monday, April 2 to 5 AM, Tuesday, April 3.
- Northbound I-35 left lane closed between US 290 East & US 183. | Nightly from 9 PM until 5 AM, Tuesday, April 3 through Thursday, April 5.
- Powell St closed at I-35. Detour via Wonsley St. or Georgian Dr. | From 8 PM Sunday, April 1 through Friday, April 13.
