183 South scheduled road construction, closures, detours for week of January 17

Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in Austin.

Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

SHORT TERM

LANE CLOSURE — 1/13/22 to 1/15/22 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Thursday-Friday (1/13-14) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 mainlane will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Montopolis Dr. and Interchange Blvd.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/15/22 to 1/17/22 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Saturday (1/15) 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday (1/17) 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound US 183 exit to Airport Blvd., 7th, and 5th Street the right lane will be closed.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/15/22 to 1/17/22 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Saturday (1/15) 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday (1/17) 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., southbound US 183 right general-purpose lane will be closed between Interchange Blvd. and Montopolis Dr.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/17/22 to 1/18/22 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Monday-Tuesday (1/17-18) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 left mainlane in both directions will be closed between Montopolis Dr. and Interchange Blvd.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/17/22 to 1/17/22 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday (1/170 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound US 183 right general-purpose lane will be closed between Alleyton Dr. and Hudson St.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/17/22 to 1/19/22 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Monday-Tuesday (1/17-18) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 main lanes will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Montopolis Dr. and Interchange Blvd.

RAMP CLOSURE — 1/17/22 to 1/17/22 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Monday (1/17) 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Southbound US 183/183 Toll ramps towards Montopolis Drive will be closed. Use the Levander Loop/Airport Blvd exit to access southbound US 183 and Montopolis Drive via the Airport to southbound US 183 ramp.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/20/22 to 1/21/22 — UTILITY WORK
Thursday (1/20) 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Flagging operations at the intersection of Montopolis Dr. and US 183 general purpose lanes for signal work.
