San Marcos Chamber To Launch Revive SMTX Program To Support Local Businesses

On Tuesday, the San Marcos City Council approved $200,000 of Community Development Block Grant – Covid-19 funding to the Chamber Economic Development program.

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce will launch Revive SMTX in collaboration with the city, which will host the program and provide local businesses with federal funds to help them through the pandemic.

Applicants will be eligible to receive up to $5,000 per business; the funds can be used for operation safety, sanitation training, personal protective equipment, and digital redesign for social distancing.

The application process will begin in the coming weeks, according to the chamber. Businesses are advised to keep an eye on www.revivesmtx.com and submit their contact information to receive updates as they are released.
