City Council To Start Off Strong With Back-To-Back Visioning Workshops

The San Marcos City Council is slated to hold two Visioning Workshops this week.

The first workshop will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7, at 8:30 AM. The second is slated for Friday, Jan. 8, at 8:30 AM.

According to the agenda, the topics to be discussed include but are not limited to: growth, quality of life, economic development policies, transportation, community partners, outreach, future infrastructure, and facility needs, beautification and community enhancement, enhancement of core services including future staffing and personnel needs and flood mitigation strategies.

The council will provide direction to staff to draft a document for approval setting the council’s goals and priorities for the upcoming budget season.

Once drafted, the council will be adopting their goals in open session at a regular meeting.

Due to COVID-19, the workshops will be virtual and will be available online or on Grande Channel 16 or Spectrum Channel 10.
