SM City Council Executive Session Being Held Tomorrow & Packet Meeting Agenda
The San Marcos City Council will hold executive sessions originally scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 6 this Friday, Sept. 2 at 10 a.m. before the regularly scheduled packet meeting at noon.
The time and date were shifted because Tuesday’s meeting has a lengthy agenda.
The items the City Council will consider in executive session are:
- To receive advice of legal counsel regarding issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for The Woods of San Marcos
- To receive advice of legal counsel regarding pending litigation, Cause No. 15-0544 -Nicholas Flores Lara, et al. v. City of San Marcos, Texas in the District Court 274th Judicial District Hays County, Texas
- To receive legal advice from the City Attorney regarding pending litigation, to wit: City of San Marcos, Texas v. Sam Brannon, Communities For Thriving Water – Fluoride Free San Marcos, Morgan Knecht and Kathleen O’Connell; Case No. 15-1266 in the 274th District Court of Hays County Texas
- To receive legal advice regarding the Preferred Scenario Amendment and zoning process under State Law and the Land Development Code
- Personnel Matters: to discuss the agreements of the Presiding Judge of the San Marcos Municipal Court of Record and the Associate Municipal Court Judge
- To receive a Staff briefing and deliberate regarding the possible acquisition of land on Clovis Barker Road
Currently scheduled right after this executive session is their normal Friday Packet Meeting at noon. The next regular City Council meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 5 p.m.
