Kyle Police Seek Suspect In Burglary String

The Kyle Police Department is searching for a man suspected to be related to a string of fire burglaries since Jan. 24.

Five homes from the Amberwood and Spring Ranch neighborhoods have been burglarized in the last two weeks. Police are asking for help in identifying the suspect they believe is related to all five incidents.

Kyle Police said the crimes took place during the day while residents are at work. A surveillance camera provided footage of the suspect police believe is involved in the burglaries.

The suspect is believed to drive a four-door red SUV and walk with a limp. Footage shows the alleged burglar pulling into the driveway of homes and leaving car doors.

Police said the suspect may not appear to be out of place and may not indicate a crime is happening. Residents of Amberwood and Spring Ranch neighborhoods are advised to keep a look out and take note of their neighbors’ homes.

Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett told KXAN news, it would take a neighbor who knows who belongs at the house next door to help police find the suspect.

Residents and neighbors are advised to call the Kyle Police Department if they have any information regarding the burglaries at 512-268-3232.
