Hays County Food Bank to Provide Families in Need with Christmas Trees and Holiday Meal Boxes

The Hays County Food Bank is extending its holiday distribution for one more day this year. Sam’s Club has donated 100 Christmas trees, and US Foods has donated 100 turkeys to give out to families in need in the Hays County area. The food bank will also be providing a trimmings box to go along with the turkey, for a traditional style feast.

If you or your family were affected by the floods, are low-income, or need extra assistance, Hays County Food Bank invites you to their warehouse on Thursday, December 10th from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. Holiday packages will be given out on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.

Those who wish to participate in this will need to bring a photo ID and proof of your address. You must be a resident of Hays County or within the San Marcos CISD borders.

“Our hope is to bring a little cheer to the residents in our community who are going through a rough time. Everybody deserves to celebrate during the holiday season.”
