While construction is tough on everyone, TxDOT is trying to do
everything they can to minimize disruptions.
I-35 CORRIDOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
MONDAY 9/24 – FRIDAY 9/28
I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

- Alternating closures I-35 frontage roads in each direction between Slaughter Ln. and Williamson Creek. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday September 23 through Thursday, September 27
- Alternating closures I-35 mainlanes in each direction between Slaughter Ln. and Williamson Creek. | 10 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23 through Thursday, September 27
- Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at William Cannon Dr. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, September 24 through Wednesday, September 26
- William Cannon Dr. reduced to one eastbound lane approaching I-35. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23 through Thursday, September 27

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

Closures are weather permitting
- Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane between SH 71 and the Woodland Ave. exit. The Oltorf St. exit and the following entrance ramp will also close. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23 and Monday, September 24
- Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed by flaggers at Oltorf St. | 8 AM until 5 PM Monday, September 24 through Friday, September 28
- Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed by flaggers between Oltorf St. and St. Edwards Dr. | 8 AM until 5 PM Monday, September 24 through Friday, September 28
- Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between SH 71 and Woodward St. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, September 24 through Friday, September 28
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed between US 290/SH 71 at the Oltorf St. exit ramp. The ramp will also close. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25
- Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Oltorf St. exit and Woodland Ave. exit. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25
- Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane between Woodland Ave. and Holly St. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Huntland Dr. and US 290 E. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Huntland Dr. and US 290 E. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed between exit #240 and US 183. The exit will remain open. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23 through Thursday, September 27
- Northbound I-35 exit ramp to Rundberg Ln. closed. Please use other exit. Expect alternating frontage road closures. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23 through Thursday, September 27
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed at Blackson Ave. | 9 PM until 5 AM Tuesday, September 25 through Thursday, September 27
- Westbound US 290 E. ramp to southbound I-35 closed. Detour to frontage road. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23 through Thursday, September 27

I-35 AT FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge. | Until summer 2018, weather permitting.

- Look for slow moving striping work I-35 both directions between RM 150 and Robert S Light Blvd. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23 through Thursday, September 27
- I-35 right lane closed in each direction between Holly St. and Manor Rd. Ramps will close as needed. | 10 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, September 26 and Thursday, September 27
- Multiple southbound I-35 lanes closed between US 290 E. and Airport Blvd. The Airport Blvd exit ramp and following entrance ramp will also close. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23 through Thursday, September 27
- I-35 entrance ramps from 12th St., 15th St., and MLK Blvd. closed. Please use other ramps. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23
- Northbound I-35 upper deck closed. Use lower deck. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, September 23
