The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is currently evacuating the Hays Country Acres subdivision due to a gas leak at the 1600 block of East Highway 290 in Dripping Springs, Texas.

A contractor punctured a major gas line at this location.  A Code Red, reverse 9-1-1, is being sent to all residents in the subdivision to evacuate the area.  Highway 290 is also being shut down in both directions at this time.
