City Council To Hold Public Hearing On Budget Policy

The San Marcos City Council will hold a public hearing and consider approving a Budget Policy Statement Tuesday, April 21 at 7 p.m. during its regularly scheduled meeting in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins.

 

“This Budget Policy Statement will set out the guiding principles for City staff as they prepare the next fiscal year’s proposed budget,” said Steve Parker, Assistant City Manager and Chief Financial Officer.

 

Council provides guidance throughout the budget process and participates in several workshops before the adoption of the budget in September. City Council can make changes during the budget process up until the time of adoption.

 

The public is invited to attend the hearing and offer comments for or against the Budget Policy Statement.
