City to Host N. LBJ and Oakridge Project Meeting

An upcoming City project to replace existing utilities along N LBJ Drive and on Oakridge Street will be the topic at a neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

 

The meeting will be held at the First Lutheran Church, 130 W. Holland Street from 6:30 -7:30 p.m.

 

Exhibits of the detours associated with the project will be displayed at the come-and-go meeting. The city project engineer, city staff, design engineer and contractor staff will be on hand to answer questions from the public. 

 

The $4 million, multi-phased project will upsize the water mains and wastewater lines on the following streets:

  • N LBJ from Holland Street to Craddock
  • Oakridge from N.LBJ to the dead end (east side)
  • Timbercest

 

The lift station on Oakridge will be upgraded as well. 

 

Work is expected to begin in late August and continue until the fall of 2017.  During the first six months of construction, N.LBJ will be closed to through traffic from Holland to Camaro Way.
