CRIME UPDATE: Theft And Burglary Of Motor Vehicle Arrests

 

On September 1, 2016 at 6:00 a.m., the Hays County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Glosson Road, Dripping Springs for a report of a stolen vehicle. At approximately 7:00 a.m. the stolen vehicle was located in the area of Timberline Drive, Drippings Springs.

 

 

Additionally, several vehicle burglaries were reported that morning having occurred overnight in the West Cave and Legacy Trails sub-divisions.

 

 

Patrol deputies collected evidence at the scenes that led detectives to identify the suspects involved in the vehicle theft and burglaries. Detectives assisted by SWAT, Hays County Joint Narcotics Task Force, and Sheriff’s Office personnel executed search warrants Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the Dripping Springs area.

 

 

The suspects are identified below as:

LEFT: Jimmy Von Tray Evans, White Male, Date of Birth: 04/14/1996 of Dripping Springs

RIGHT: Bobby Trevino, White Male, Date of Birth: 05/12/1997 of Dripping Springs

 

 

Evans was arrested for: Burglary of a Vehicle, 2 counts and an outstanding warrant on September 5, 2016.

 

 

Trevino was arrested for: Theft of a Firearm and felony Theft on September 6, 2016.

 

 

Evidence linking the suspects to their crime spree was recovered along with suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. These suspects have lengthy criminal histories. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.

 

 

 

At this time, both subjects are still in custody at Hays County Jail.
