A Week At A Glance: SMCISD Hosts Math Camp For Middle School Students

San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District is making strides to engage its students in learning every day.

San Marcos CISD has nearly 8,000 students enrolled between its high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools according to the district’s website. 

Here is a quick look at what SMCISD students and staff were up to the week of July 14 thru July 20.

Last week was all middle school math camp in SMCISD. The Algebra Bridge Camp ran from July 22 to July 25 and provided middle school students with an introduction to basic algebra concepts.

The camp also reviewed arithmetic algorithms. The week-long math camp emphasized concepts necessary “for success” in Algebra I.

Goodnight Middle School hosted campers from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Step Up 2019 Showcase was nothing short of fantastic! Students showcased their arts/literacy projects in a variety of ways. From green screens movies to stories made through computer coding, students shared their final products with parents, teachers and friends.
