Local Governments Monthly Sales Tax Revenue Total $629 Million
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $629.2 million in local sales tax allocations for September, 1.4 percent less than in September 2015. These allocations are based on sales made in July by businesses that report tax monthly.
“The cities of Houston, Midland, San Antonio and Frisco saw decreases in sales tax allocation,” Hegar said. “The cities of Dallas and Plano saw noticeable increases in sales tax allocations.”
