MOBILE, Ala. – The Sun Belt Conference announced members of the SBC All-Conference teams Tuesday night and Texas State had three players receive recognition. Sophomore pitcher Randi Rupp was named First-Team All-Conference while Corrina Liscano and Taylor Webb were second-team selections.

Fifteen players were named each to the first and second-team. This is the second straight First-Team All-SBC selection for Rupp and it was the first time that Webb and Liscano had been honored by the conference.

Rupp finished the 2016 regular season with a 26-10 overall record and 1.59 ERA. Her 293 strikeouts has matched her freshman campaign total and it also ranks her third in the nation. She led the team in home runs with six in her first season with the Bobcats and she was also a perfect 8-for-8 in stolen bases. She started and played in all 54 games at third base for Texas State.

This season, Liscano proved to be the hardest to strikeout on the Bobcat team as she registered 25 walks and 15 hit by pitches compared to just 13 strikeouts. Liscano currently is third on the team in at bats with 140 and total hits with 43. Her 31 RBIs so far this year is a team-high alongside Ariel Ortiz.

Webb has had a solid sophomore season as she leads the Bobcats overall with a .315 batting average including a .354 mark in conference play. In SBC play, Webb leads the ‘Cats with 23 total hits and a .538 slugging percentage.

Overall, Webb has started in 52 games this season. She has an on base percentage of .442 and leads the team with three sacrifice flies. Webb also leads the Bobcats with nine doubles.
