UPDATED: Kyle Police Investigate Suspicious Death Of 2-year-old
According to police, the cause of death has not been identified yet; police will investigate the death as suspicious until the autopsy is returned in six to eight weeks.
The Kyle Police Department are investigating the suspicious death of a 2-year-old.
On July 4 around 6 p.m., Kyle Police officers received an emergency call for medical assistance at the 300blk of Marquitos Drive. A boy was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the residence.
Hays County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith was called to the scene. She ordered an autopsy on the boy, which is not yet complete.
Police Chief Jeff Barnett said another child in the home was voluntarily taken to an Austin-area hospital that same day.

As of yet, there have been no arrests or charges made, but police are interviewing family members. As this is an active investigation, there are no additional details available.
