His wife, Stephanie Vasquez, 34, also of Kyle, was transported to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin with serious injuries, according to Stephanie Vasquez’s family.

The accident occurred around 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, on the southbound I-35 access road at Burleson Road. Kyle police closed off the access road at City Lights Rd. and detoured traffic for several hours while they conducted their investigation of the crash.

When additional information is available, the city of Kyle will provide an update.

NOTE: An earlier release that said the second vehicle hit the third vehicle. In fact, it was the Avenger driven by Farmer that hit the Lexus.
