Search continues for Harper Garlitos, missing Texas State student

SAN MARCOS – Concern grows as the search continues for Harper Garlitos, a 21-year-old sophomore at Texas State University and resident of San Marcos. Family close to the missing student says he is living with Asperger’s and has not been seen or heard in two weeks.

According to authorities, his parents last heard from Garlitos on May 6, and he was last seen near the Academy Sports and Outdoors in San Marcos on May 10. He was driving a silver 2003 Toyota Tundra with Texas license plates reading AG34506.

The Aware Foundation, a nonprofit committed to advocacy for the missing and endangered, posted on the “Harper Garlitos Missing Person” Facebook Page the following information:

“He has Asperger’s and is extremely depressed because of it,” the post reads. “Harper told his mother that at some point, he would end his life. He is a sophomore at Texas State University and has not taken any of his finals. Harper also struggled socially due to his focus on his mental problems.”

Harper has brown eyes and brown hair, is 5’8″, weighs 140 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans.
