Registration Opens Feb. 1 For Spring Break Camp

The Parks and Recreation Department works to provide the citizens and visitors of San Marcos the highest level of programs, parks, facilities, and services that will positively enhance our vision of the community.

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department invites residents and non-residents alike to sign their children up for Spring Break Camp, held March 12-16 from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Dunbar Recreation Center, 801 W. MLK.

Spring Break Camp is for children ages 5-11 and features games, crafts, and two field trips to the San Marcos Discovery Center for environmental education lessons. Other field trips include a trip to the Playland Skate Center and the Starplex Theater, hikes around the City’s fun-filled parks, a picnic, and more!

The cost is $150 per child, which covers the entire week. Children must bring their lunch each day and a morning snack if desired. An afternoon snack will be provided.

Registration opens Feb. 1 and can be completed in person at the Parks and Recreation Main Office, 401 E. Hopkins or by calling 512.393.8400. Space is limited.
